@ THRANI
Psychotherapy and counseling
is highly beneficial for anyone going through various stresses and
strains in life. It equips one to cope effectively. Regardless of
that fact that one suffer from anxiety or depression, having
relationship problems at home or are worried about child's behavior,
talking to a mental health professional can be of immense help.
Direct counseling with a therapist is
very costly and time consuming. Now with the better and easy mode of
communication, counseling and psychotherapeutic services are made
possible through Internet, making use of emails and chatting. Crisis
counseling services at THRANI uses the power of Internet
communication to make trips to the counselor easier, more
comfortable and more convenient. Without leaving home, you can have
direct access to a professional, 24 hours a day who can help you to
cope with your problems. |

To extend a helping hand to someone in distress and needing immediate help in the community, THRANI trained volunteers (80 community counselors & 20 telephone counselors) are always there. Thrani
counselors do regular field visits whenever necessary to assess the situation and assist patients at their home. We try to promote and facilitate factors that influence positive behavior change among populace. Community support for people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHAs) is facilitated through sensitization programs in the community and networking with other organizations.

Thrani Care
Providing emotional supportive counseling and some medical care is what we offer in the current setting for PLWHAs. But financial assistance for continuous medical care and food is the need of the hour for them. Crisis control counseling and follow-up supportive counseling for PLWHAs are made available from the center itself, while HIV pre-test and post-test counseling is rendered at the Government voluntary testing and counseling center.
